Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond locks and a lively appearance, shares tips on how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. As a child in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion of cooking and food from a young age. Her passion was for the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I couldn't study or accomplish enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. When she was in Italy she gained an appreciation and knowledge of Italian cuisine. It had a significant effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of kids facing difficulties. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes awareness of juvenile diabetes. Burrell travels extensively across the country in her role as a mentor as well as a guest speaker where she discusses her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate to be able to communicate her love of cooking to the people around her.
